New Beginnings

I want to start out by saying that I’m not perfect. Shocker, right? We know that each and every one of us has struggles. Sometimes we fall. Sometimes it can take a long time to get back up. But I know that my God is strong. His grace covers all of my imperfections. And because of Him, I’m able to have my past wiped clean.

Romans 6:4

Often times, however, we seem to forget the 3 verses before this one.

“What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”

— Romans 6:1-4

Not to say that our sins aren’t forgiven. Far from it. However, I know that I’m guilty of repeating a sin multiple times. Sometimes it’s a mistake, sometimes we fall into devil’s trap, knowing God’s grace will cover it all up later.

My prayer for you and me today is that we can fight off the devil’s temptations and have a new life, full of Christ.

With love,
